Washington's contribution to the Ocean Conservancy's global cleanup — coordinated with hundreds of countries each September.
A global cleanup, every September
More than a decade of Washington participation.
CoastSavers has been Washington's coordinating body for the International Coastal Cleanup since the early 2010s. Data from our sites feeds into one of the world's largest marine-debris datasets, helping researchers, policymakers, and the public understand what's washing up on shorelines across the planet.

About this cleanup
Your data goes global.
The International Coastal Cleanup is run by the Ocean Conservancy every September. Volunteers in over 150 countries count and categorize the debris they collect — and the data feeds into one of the world's largest marine-debris datasets.
In Washington, CoastSavers coordinates outer-coast and Salish Sea sites under the same banner. You can find a site near you whether you're on the Olympic Peninsula or in Bellingham.
